About The Event

Moms and Dads, do you want to keep Italian alive for the next generation, entertain your kids with fun activities, and build new connections?

Join our Italian Virtual Playdate with your kids on Sunday, December 13, at 9:30 AM PST.

In this one-hour interactive event, your kids will have fun playing games, learning how to draw, listening to stories, and singing all together!

Laura, Marta, and Eleonora, our special guests for this event, will run different activities to help your kids enrich their Italian vocabulary and practice their speaking and listening skills!

Materials:

Laura Ladisa

Laura is an Italian mom living in the Bay Area. She currently works as a Linguist for AI applications, and she also has experience entertaining at kids’ parties and teaching Italian. With her daughter growing up far from Italy, she would like to build a community where Bay Area families with a connection to Italian language and culture can meet and grow together, and where kids can be exposed to all the beautiful things Italy has to offer!

Eleonora Pellegrini

Eleonora Pellegrini was born in Florence. At the age of nine began studying the harp. She earns a Bachelors in harp from the Conservatory of Music in Florence and a Master in harp from the Conservatory of Music in Parma. For the past ten years, Eleonora has been teaching harp to children and adults. She developed a passion for teaching music to young children and started training as an Orff teacher. In 2015 Eleonora has become a certified Music Learning Theory teacher. In 2018 she moved to Berkeley, California, performing as a harpist and teaching music in Italian and English in many schools.

Marta Pilosio

Marta is an Italian illustrator who has lived abroad for quite a while. She started with Ireland, then she moved to Scotland, and now she is based in San Francisco, California.  After earning her degree in Archaeology and working in the Tourism Industry for years, she finally decided to dedicate herself to her first love: Art.

She has a passion for Children's Books illustration and anything connected to Literature, Folklore, and History, but she is always eager to explore new fields.

This event is suggested for children ages 5-8 years, but everyone is welcome!

The event will be held mainly in Italian.

The event is free. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
