Semifreddo al caffè


The semifreddo is a very simple and delicious dessert to be prepared at home with few ingredients.

It is similar to ice cream, but you don't need an ice cream maker to make it!

It can also be prepared a few days in advance and safely stored in the freezer.


Ingredients


200 ml Whipping Cream

80 g Condensed Milk

300 gr. Ladyfingers biscuits

1 Cup of Coffee (if you prefer a stronger taste, you can add more coffee).

Coffee beans (for decoration)


Directions

  1. Whip cream from the refrigerator in a large container. The cream has to be very cold.

  2. Add the condensed milk and a cup of cold coffee (If you prefer a stronger taste, you can add more coffee) and mix all the ingredients with a spatula.

  3. Line a loaf pan with plastic wrap, leaving enough of it outside the mold (we will need it to take the cake out of the mold).

  4. Pour half of the cream into the pan and level it with a spatula. Then place the ladyfingers lightly soaked in coffee next to each other.

  5. Cover the ladyfingers with the remaining cream, level well, and complete with a final layer of ladyfingers always soaked in coffee.

  6. Place in the freezer for 2/3 hours.

  7. Gently lift the foil, pull the cake out of the mold, and turn it upside down on a serving dish.

  8. Decorate with coffee beans.
